This course blog develops as a part of the teacher trainee seminar “Teaching writing skills using creative methods and digital media” at Goethe-University, Frankfurt, Germany. Since we will deal with creative methods of teaching writing skills, we will also introduce ourselves in a creative way. This is how it goes:

My name is Lisa and even though I have never been to Pisa, I like travelling.
I study teaching English and Geography and apart from that, sports will always be my philosophy.
I play Tennis since I am four years old and I love summer because I don´t like the cold.
I absolutely love my pet and I turn 21 in September, but not yet.
Rhyming is not my force, but I am very excited about this course.

Writing a poem about myself feels odd to me,
hello, I’m Valentina and I like peach iced tea.
Things I enjoy include plants, reading and video games,
white wine, pizza, and photos in pretty frames.
There is a little Fabio who seems to eat a lot,
No wonder he has trouble moving from his spot.
At times the will to be productive comes alive,
But the wish to procrastinate will still survive.
Working out and eating healthy is his wish,
But then he sees the next unhealthy dish.

But because of quarantine he still feels stressed.

for re-reading Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby every year for the last four years,
for being slightly ashamed to admit that he loves The Great Gatsby because it’s so
stereotypical,
